10年に及ぶ苦難と紆余曲折による夢の道のりは私を弘元寺へと導き、そしてこのたび「伝法潅頂(でんぽうかんじょう)」を授かり、成満(じょうまん)することができました。

得度(とくど)の前、私は心から弘法大師に祈りました。
弘法大師の教えが迷いの中にいるすべての存在（衆生）にとって「薬」となるよう お仕えするという私の夢と、その実現へと導いてくださる師匠と共同体(ｺﾐｭﾆﾃｨ)に巡り合えますようにと。
これまで私の歩む道には数多くの障害がありましたが、それらの全てが私を真理（法）へと導きました。
　　　　　　　　　　
阿闍梨(あじゃり)となって人々を苦しみから救済する為に必要であることを正しく理解させてくれましたし、また私の決意を試すために苦難は現れたものだと信じています。 私たち仏教徒は、全ての生きとし生けるものの苦しみを軽減し、他者の背負う重荷を 自らのものとして受け止める 使命があると信じています。

「四諦(したい:苦･集･滅･道)」は仏教の教義のなかでも最も基本になるもので、人々に教えられる最初の教えの一つです。多くの人々がこの短い教義を読み過ごしてしまい、個人的なレベルでしか理解していないことは非常に残念なことです。
ブッダ曰(いわ)く、
「苦しみがある」とは、「私は苦しんでいる」という解釈をするのではなく、普遍的で区別のない現実の状態として苦の意味（思い通りにならない）を理解するよう、意図されています。つまり大乗仏教、あるいは密教（金剛乗）の仏徒として、私たちは菩薩としての使命を持っています。すべての衆生の苦しみを私たちは自分のものとして背負い、この世界を浄土に変えるために、菩薩行をするという使命です。
　　　　　　　

『華厳経』（『アヴァタンサカ・スートラ』）のなかには、「因陀羅網（インドラの網）」という有名な比喩が使われています。それは、暗い洞窟でロウソクが他のロウソクを灯すように、いかに小さな行為でさえも全ての衆生の苦しみが止滅に向かって働くことを示しています。このような考え方で生きることこそが、現世（この人生）で菩薩になることであり、浄土に生きるという真の意味になるのです。
私の四度加行(ｼﾄﾞｹｷﾞｮｳ)と伝法潅頂の間、多くの皆さんが 時間や気持ち、布施などの形で支えてくださいました。私は、（外国人だからとか、新参者だからとかそういったことで）差別することなく行動される菩薩（＝信仰者、信者さん）のいるお寺を、私の人生のなかで見つけられたことに深い感動を覚えました。　私の使命は、私に示された教えをまた同じように異国の人々が見つけられる、その手助けをすることです。そして彼らがまたそれをインドラの網のように他の人々に啓発する手助けをすること。
ある日、「菩薩は台所の鍋やフライパンのなかにも見つけられる」と、冗談で泰教さまに言いましたが、その発言にはたくさんの真実があると心から信じています。私は皆々様ひとりひとりに 心から感謝の念を抱いています。ご尽力いただいた全てのことに、心からの感謝を捧げます。

私はまさに曼荼羅のような美しい世界をみることができました。私たちが食器を洗い、互いを奮い立たせ（励まし合い）、共に善を成すことができるように、菩薩たちによってつくられた曼荼羅を。私は新生の阿闍梨として、皆さんが私に示してくださった 優しさの一滴一滴を広めていき、皆さんが私に与えてくださったように、他の人々にも気づきを与えることができるようにと願っています。

Dear Kogenji Bodhisattvas,

My denpo kanjo has come and passed, a ten year long dream of tribulations and detours lead me to Kogenji. Before my tokudo I prayed to Kobodaishi with great sincerity to help me find a teacher and community that would support my dream of helping Kobodaishi's teachings be a medicine for all sentient beings.
I encountered many obstacles in my path and all of them I believe were meant to guide me towards the true dharma and to properly understand what it really takes to be an ajari and aid people in their suffering.I believe that as Buddhists it is our mission to ease the suffering of all beings and shoulder the burdens others carry as our burdens as well.
　　　　　　　　　
In Buddhism theology the Four Noble Truths is one of the first topics taught to people as basic information. It is deeply regrettable that many people read over this brief text and understand it on an individual level.
When the Buddha stated "There is suffering" He did not intend for us to interpret it as "I am suffering" He intended it to be understood as a state of reality that is universal and non distinguishing. As Mahayana or Vajrayana Buddhists we have a bodhisattva's calling. We have the calling to shoulder the suffering of all beings as our own and conduct ourselves with bodhisattva action to change this world into a pure land.

In the Avatamsaka Sutra the famous metaphor of Indra's net is used to demonstrate how even the smallest of actions, works towards the cessation of suffering for all beings. Like a candle lighting up another candle in a dark cave. Living with this mindset is what it truly means to be a bodhisattva in this life and to live in a pure land. During my shido kegyo and denpo kanjo many of you made contributions of your time, emotion, and Charity.I was so deeply moved that I had found a temple in my lifetime where there are bodhisattvas in action indiscriminately.
My mission is to help foreign people find what you have shown me and in turn they will enlighten other's in their life times just like indras net. I told master Taikyo that bodhisattvas can be found amongst the pot and pans in the kitchen as a joke one day but I truly think there is a lot of truth in that statement. for each and every one of you I have the utmost gratitude for everything you have done, I could truly see the world like a mandala with bodhisattvas building structures, washing dishes, and motivating each other for the greater good. I hope as a new Ajari I will be able to pass along every ounce of kindness you have shown me exponentially, and inspire others as you have inspired me.
